Responsibilities of Data Engineer

  • Integrate various data sources into master data.
  • Identify downstream impacts of data loads/migrations (e.g., data quality, regulatory).
  • Perform data loads and transformations.
  • Implement logical/physical data models based on MDM best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, influence decisions, and think strategically.
  • Proficient in at least one ETL tool.

Requirements for Data Engineer

  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries and working with databases.
  • Understands data models (logical/physical), big data architecture, data modeling, metadata/master data management, data lineage, and profiling.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
  • Understands current tech trends and brings new ideas.
  • Translates analytical problems into data requirements.
